A few months ago, I was really struggling with wrist pain. It was so bad I couldn't knit or crochet for weeks. It was incredibly depressing and stressful given it was nearly the busiest time of the year.
After going to the doctor, I found that I have a decent sized ganglion cyst in my wrist. With some time and rest, the pain went away. I've come to find that crocheting is what causes the pain to become debilitating. Which means crocheting is something I don't do very often, if at all anymore.
I had plans to release quite a few crochet patterns this year. But sadly, that plan has changed. Now, I plan to release knitting patterns instead! So with that being said, I've decided to share with you the few patterns I have already written, for free!
The ribbed headband was one of my favorite headbands to make for quick market prep. It works up so fast and looks so nice! They're super warm for the cold weather and would also make great gifts.
Here's what you'll need:
1 Ball of Super Bulky yarn (Weight 6) – I prefer to use Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
Size N (9.00 mm) crochet hook (These are my favorite hooks)
Tapestry Needle (to weave in ends)
Scissors

Pattern
Make a slip knot & chain 9
Row 1: Slip stitch in the 2nd chain from the hook and across (8 slip stitches).

Row 2: Turn, chain 1, slip stitch in the back loops only across (8 slip stitches).
Note: Keep your stitches loose! Or it'll be very difficult to get your hook into your back loops.

Repeat Row 2 until piece is 18" long.
Bind off and seam edges together.
Weave in ends, add a tag.
Ta da! That's it!
I would LOVE to see the headbands that you create! Please tag me in any photos you post!
